DESCRIPTION:« All Events\n \n \n \n \n \n	Problem-Based Learning in Academic Education \n \n \n \n \n \n 7 September 2026\n\n \n	\n - \n\n	11 September 2026\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n Course Type: Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)Dates: On-site component — 7–11 September 2026\, Medical University of Gdańsk\, Poland · Schedule: online and on-siteCertification: Certificate of attendanceFunding: Financed under the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange programme “Support for European Universities” — participants receive a lump-sum allowance to cover travel and accommodation costs How can we design classes that engage students\, foster their independence and prepare them to solve real-world problems? The Blended Intensive Programme “Problem-Based Learning in Academic Education” is an intensive professional development programme for academic teachers who wish to introduce the PBL methodology into their teaching practice. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 1. Organising Institutions\n \n Organised by: Medical University of Gdańsk\, Poland Partners: Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV)\, Santarém Polytechnic University (IPSantarém) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 2. Programme Overview\n \n The programme combines theoretical knowledge with the practical design of educational activities. Participants will learn how to prepare\, deliver\, evaluate and validate problem-based learning processes. They will then develop solutions that can be applied to specific courses and study programmes. The programme will be delivered in a blended-learning format\, combining intensive on-site sessions with online workshops. Participants will work individually and in teams\, analyse case studies\, take part in simulations and design their own educational solutions. An important element of the programme will be the exchange of experience among academic teachers representing different universities and fields of education. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 3. Objectives\n \n Each participant will develop a concept for implementing Problem-Based Learning in a selected course\, module or educational cycle. The final output will include: a PBL class scenarioa description of an educational problem or casea student work plana set of questions supporting the facilitation processa method for evaluating and validating learning outcomesan implementation schedule for introducing PBL into the participant’s classes\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 4. Who should attend\n \n The programme is intended primarily for: academic teachers and lecturersstaff involved in designing or modernising curriculacourse and study programme coordinatorsstaff delivering practical\, clinical\, project-based or problem-based classesNo previous experience in teaching with the Problem-Based Learning methodology is required. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 5.
