The Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu (UCB) is a public higher education institution funded in 1992, offering young people the chance to choose various study programs, following the requirements of the highly qualified labour market. Today, UCB offers 26 study programs for the bachelor’s degree cycle, 28 university master’s programs, 2 professional conversion programs, 6 postgraduate programs of continuous training, 2 training programs for pre-university Education and a program of psych pedagogical studies. The significant efforts made to diversify the educational offer have been corroborated with those for the development of the material base, the institutional infrastructure, and the human resources, to ensure competitive and qualitative conditions, related to the requirement of European standards. UCB promotes also scientific research, development, innovation, and technological transfer, through individual and collective creation, in the field of technical, economic, legal, socio-political sciences and the arts, by ensuring performance, capitalizing, and disseminating the results. As part of its internationalization strategy, UCB as an extensive network of collaborations with other institutions in Europe to promote joint research projects and learning mobilities for students and teachers.
