International Workshop “AI for Society & Smart Governance” held within the ACE²-EU Alliance at Goce Delčev University, Štip

Goce Delčev University is hosting a three-day international workshop on the use of artificial intelligence, organised as part of the European University Alliance ACE2-EU. The event will bring together researchers from all nine Alliance member universities, with the aim of developing innovative initiatives focused on smart governance and the societal impact of AI technologies.

During the workshop, participants will collaborate on project proposals centred on using artificial intelligence to make governance more efficient and build a more inclusive society. These activities are expected to result in comprehensive and innovative project concepts to be submitted to various European funding programmes.

‘Such events contribute to strengthening scientific activity and enhancing the societal impact of universities in everyday life’, said Goce Delčev University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Dejan Mirakovski.

The event is also supported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, represented by Minister Stefan Andonovski. Welcome addresses were also delivered by Ivan Jordanov, the Mayor of Stip, and Sangeetha Ratnayake, coordinator of the ARIES Incubator of the Alliance.

Through this initiative, the ACE2-EU Alliance reaffirms its commitment to fostering international academic collaboration, digital innovation, and the development of technological solutions that address real societal needs across Europe.
