ACE²-EU CULTURE HUB

The ACE2-EU Culture Hub brings together the cultural expertise of Alliance members and their external partners to enhance the collective understanding of the diverse cultures within the Alliance. This initiative aims to promote integration, inclusion, mutual respect and multiculturalism across the Alliance, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment for all stakeholders.

Key Initiatives and Activities:

  • Culture Hub Volunteer Programme: This programme provides students with financial and logistical support to engage in cultural activities with external stakeholders. It includes a mobility opportunity of at least 8 days and encourages meaningful cultural exchange and collaboration.
  • Culture Traineeship Programme for Staff: A series of three sessions, each lasting three days, provides key Alliance staff with training opportunities to better understand partner cultures. The programme focuses on identifying effective strategies for inducting and including international students into university environments, particularly those at risk of cultural exclusion.
  • The ACE2-EU Kaleidoscope Culture Festival: Held annually alongside the Alliance’s Annual Assemblies, this festival celebrates the unique cultures of each member university. Student teams showcase their national and regional identity and heritage through creative cultural programmes. These may include elements such as art, literature, language, music, dance, sport or cuisine, promoting multiculturalism, multilingualism and inclusion.
  • Online Inclusion and Multicultural Awareness Campaigns: In collaboration with the Communication Coordinator, the APP Factory Coordinator and WP6, this initiative develops promotional materials, including digital campaigns, to raise awareness of multiculturalism. These campaigns will highlight the diversity, richness and importance of the cultures represented within ACE²-EU and will engage students, staff and external stakeholders.
  • Development of Joint Learning Opportunities: The Culture Hub will contribute to collaborative learning initiatives, such as Culture Flavour Schools, which focus on promoting inclusivity and multiculturalism within the Alliance. These opportunities will be developed in collaboration with WP2.
