Active Learning Pedagogy Schools (ALPS). ALPS will be made available to staff who will provide collaborative learning opportunities for Alliance students. ALPS will offer academic staff the opportunity to participate in an intensive 4-day training programme in Active Learning Pedagogy.
Active Learning Pedagogy is an educational approach that emphasises student-centred learning, involving their active engagement and participation in the learning process. It involves the use of hands-on methods in which students participate, collaborate and solve problems, thereby developing critical thinking and creativity.
Teachers act as facilitators, guiding students through interactive activities, discussions and real-world applications. It is envisaged that 9 ALPS programmes will be delivered throughout the project, one hosted by each Alliance member.
