ACE²-EU SOCIAL IMPACTORS

The ACE2-EU Social Impactors bring together expertise from across the Alliance in socio-economic areas such as inclusion, multiculturalism, social well-being, dignity, respect, and gender equality. Collaborating with societal and government stakeholders, the Social Impactors develop service-to-society activities aimed at addressing and positively impacting current and future societal challenges. These activities generate impactful outputs such as awareness campaigns, volunteering programmes, and challenge-based workshops that focus on collaboratively tackling pressing social issues.

In addition, the Social Impactors will develop joint learning opportunities, including ABCs, BIPs, and MOOCs, tailored to the socio-economic challenges they address, in close collaboration with WP2. It is expected that up to four Social Impactors will be established over the course of the project. These initiatives will actively involve students, staff, researchers and social partners from across the Alliance and promote innovative solutions to societal challenges.

Key Initiatives:

  • The Change Maker Ambassador Programme: A training framework designed to equip students and staff with knowledge of best practices and innovative methods for addressing societal issues. This programme will include 18 sessions of three days each and will focus on cultivating social change agents within the Alliance.
  • The Social Impactors Volunteer Programme: This initiative provides financial and logistical support for students to engage in service-to-society activities with external stakeholders. The programme includes a minimum 8-day mobility opportunity that enables students to work with Social Impactors on meaningful volunteer projects.
  • Social Impactor Knowledge Creation Team Workshops: Nine workshops, each lasting three days, bring together experts from ACE2-EU and external societal and government partners. These workshops focus on co-developing practical solutions to socio-economic challenges, such as public awareness campaigns and collaborative learning opportunities in partnership with the APP Factory.
  • Development of Joint Learning Opportunities: Initiatives such as ABCs, BIPs, and MOOCs are designed to address current and future socio-economic issues for the benefit of both students and external stakeholders and will be developed in close coordination with WP2.
