On 21–22 April, the 8th ACE²-EU Alliance “ACEploration” mission is taking place at Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija, bringing together academic staff from across Europe for collaboration, exchange of ideas, and the co-creation of innovative academic initiatives.
The event is organised as a strategic co-creation format within the ACE²-EU Applied Programmes and Pedagogy Factory (APP Factory), providing participants with the opportunity to present and refine their ideas, establish new partnerships, and develop joint learning activities across institutions.
This year’s theme, “Smart Cities”, invites participants to explore solutions for creating more sustainable, intelligent, and inclusive urban environments, addressing today’s key urban, technological, and societal challenges.
During the programme, participants were introduced to the practical Sharing Active-Experiential Learning (SAEL) approach implemented at Lietuvos inžinerijos kolegija, gaining insight into innovative teaching and learning practices. They also visited the Bosch Training Centre and the LIK Aviation Centre, where they explored state-of-the-art learning environments and industry-linked training opportunities.
A representative from Kaunas IN presented the city of Kaunas and highlighted opportunities for collaboration with external stakeholders. In addition, the session “Navigating the European Degree Label: From Policy to Practice” introduced participants to developments related to joint degree programmes and European-level academic integration.
The programme continued with academic pitch sessions, after which participants split into working groups in separate rooms to further develop their ideas and initiate concrete collaborative projects.
