1.4.              Theme and Subthemes

This event will provide a valuable opportunity to advance our collaborative objectives and explore frameworks for joint educational initiatives under the following overarching thematic area:

The focus of this ACEploration will be the Bioeconomy, particularly in relation to food products — how they are produced, their commonalities, their impact on lifestyle and culture, and the science behind their development. The academic staff we would like to involve includes those working in biotechnology, agriculture, food sciences, lifestyles and health, and culture. An example of this approach is provided by IPS, which has proposed a thematic focus around wine, but this ACEploration is intended to embrace all types of food products within a broader and more inclusive framework.

THEME: “THE BIOECONOMY: THE SCIENCE, THE PRODUCTS, THE LIFESTYLE AND CULTURE

Example: “WINE – Legacy and Innovation: from tradition to sustainable futures”

SUBTHEMESExamples from IPS
