  1. Data Controller

The data controller for the processing of your personal data for the purpose of the e-newsletter is ACE2EU Alliance, with Medical University of Gdansk (MUG) coordinating the e-newsletter activities, located at M. Skłodowskiej-Curie 3a street, 80-210 Gdańsk, Poland. You may contact us at ace2eu@gumed.edu.pl for any data protection inquiries.

  1. Data Processor

We use GetResponse as our email marketing service provider. GetResponse processes your data on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  1. Data Collected

We collect and process only the following data:

  • Email address (for sending the newsletter).
  • Newsletter statistics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates) to improve our content.
  1. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing

We process your data for the purpose of sending the e-newsletter and analyzing engagement. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide by subscribing to the newsletter.

  1. Data Storage and Retention

Your data will be stored securely within the European Economic Area (EEA) and retained until you withdraw your consent by unsubscribing.

  1. Data Sharing and Transfers

We do not share your data with third parties, except for GetResponse, which processes it on our behalf. No data is transferred outside the EEA.

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access (Article 15 GDPR).
  • Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR).
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Article 17 GDPR).

  • Right to withdraw consent (unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails).
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
