ACE²-EU

Applied, Connected, Entrepreneurial and Engaged – European University

The international Blended Intensive Programme “Current Trends and the Future of the Creative Industries” has successfully concluded!

Organised within the framework of the European University Alliance ACE²-EU, the programme offered students valuable insights into Latvia’s creative industries and the diverse opportunities for development within the sector.
Throughout the week, students participated in lectures on creative industries and emerging research directions, explored the concept of creative cities, and developed their own research projects focused on cross-sector collaboration. They also honed their creative presentation skills and learned innovative storytelling techniques. The academic programme was enriched with educational visits to leading industry companies, providing behind-the-scenes perspectives on the film industry, event production, cultural and public spaces, and the print-on-demand sector.
A warm thank you to our industry partners Locomotive, Printful, NA Staging, Āgenskalns Market, and the cultural space ConTakts for their collaboration and generous hospitality!
We are also grateful to experts Oleksandra Nenko and Ilona Kunda for supporting the students in developing their projects. Special thanks to Ieva Zemīte and Asnāte Kalēja for organising the programme, and to our colleagues from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (Chelo Pérez Ocaña) and Universitatea Constantin Brâncuși (Corina Drăgan and Costin Florian) for their kind cooperation.
Finally, many thanks to Aija Lūse and Elīza Māra Kamradze-Tūtere for capturing the highlights of the programme through their photography!
