Between 22 and 24 July 2025, the Medical University of Gdańsk had the pleasure of hosting two representatives from the University “Goce Delčev” in Štip, North Macedonia. The visit took place within the framework of the ACE²-EU Alliance and aimed to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation through meaningful academic and administrative dialogue.
The three-day programme was dynamic and rich in content, designed to support mutual learning and the exploration of joint initiatives.
Key points of the visit included:
-
Discussions at the Technology Transfer Centre, focused on innovation management, knowledge transfer, and the commercialisation of research outcomes.
-
An overview of MUG’s strategic research priorities presented within the framework of the national “Excellence Initiative – Research University” (IDUB).
-
A study visit to the Doctoral School, where the guests learned about the structure, academic offer and organisational model of doctoral training at MUG.
-
Meetings with the ACE²-EU Alliance Office, responsible for coordination of the visit and for presenting MUG’s contributions to the European university collaboration.
-
Consultations with the International Cooperation Office, which included discussions on staff and student mobility under the Erasmus+ programme, as well as broader internationalisation efforts.
Despite a tight schedule, the visit provided space for direct exchange of ideas, good practices and forward-looking planning.
This visit served not only as an important opportunity to deepen institutional ties, but also as a clear reflection of the ACE²-EU Alliance’s mission: connecting universities, people, and ideas for the shared development of European higher education.
