LAC celebrates ACE²-EU European University Alliance Anniversary

The Latvian Academy of Culture celebrated ACE²-EU European University Alliance Anniversary! It has been a dynamic and productive year: we launched the SPACE Centre, organised the “Culture Kaleidoscope” festival in Germany 🇩🇪, developed five joint short learning programmes, and contributed to multiple research and development initiatives across the Alliance.

A year in numbers 📊
A dedicated 12-member ACE²-EU team at LAC, 22 academic staff involved, 54 staff and 48 student mobilities, and 146 student applications for joint learning programmes. A confident and promising start.

Looking ahead 👉 In 2026, LAC staff will have access to new training opportunities in Portugal 🇵🇹 and international research collaboration groups. Students will benefit from an expanded portfolio of short learning programmes, the “Culture Kaleidoscope” festival in Romania 🇷🇴, knowledge-creation workshops in Portugal, and the ACE_RISE volunteering initiative offering 72 placements across Europe and locally.

During ACE Day at LAC, we looked back at what has been achieved and outlined our next steps. 🤝 Thank you to everyone involved and to the Ministry of Culture for their essential support. We continue forward – collaboratively, creatively and on a truly European scale. 🇪🇺✨
