On the 11 December 2025, Universidad Francisco de Vitoria took part in the collective celebration of the ACE²-EU Alliance Anniversary by hosting its own edition of ACE Day, bringing the UFV community together around the mission and vision of the Alliance.
Students, academic staff, administrative teams, and institutional partners gathered to acknowledge the progress made during the year and to strengthen ties with the wider European network. The event opened with remarks from representatives of UFV’s International Relations Office and faculty members actively engaged in ACE²EU activities, who highlighted key milestones and underlined the strategic relevance of the Alliance for UFV’s international development, as well as giving more information to our students, professors and staff about the new opportunities coming soon.
A symbolic gesture marked the central moment of the celebration, as the speakers joined to blow out the Alliance birthday candles, reaffirming UFV’s shared commitment to the collaborative path ahead. We also participated in the online activities, such as Virtual Coffee and the Virtual Escape Room.
The UFV programme featured:
- Introduction to ACE²-EU– An engaging session presenting the Alliance, its mobility pathways, the APP Factory, and the long-term opportunities available to students and staff.
- Video of Cultural and Academic Contributions– UFV presented selected examples of ongoing collaborations, student testimonies, and initiatives aligned with ACE²-EU’s thematic pillars.
• Student Engagement Initiatives– UFV student ambassadors organised an interactive game promoting European values, intercultural understanding, and awareness of the Alliance’s work. The students were able to win experiences abroad, as well as three Interrail Passes. - Painting of the ACE²-EU mural on Campus 2: students were able to contribute by expressing their artistic vision of the values of unity between cultures, the central theme of this Alliance.
The atmosphere throughout the day reflected the essence of ACE²-EU: community-building, innovation, openness, and cultural exchange. UFV’s ACE DAY provided a meaningful platform to engage the university community and reinforce its commitment to a strong and forward-looking European University Alliance.
