CULTUREWISE: Develop Your Intercultural Skills for a European Campus

How can you communicate effectively across cultures, collaborate in international teams and make the most of your time in a multicultural academic environment? CULTUREWISE: Intercultural Skills for a European Campus offers practical online workshops designed to help students and staff develop these essential skills.

The programme is open to students and staff of the Medical University of Gdańsk, international students and staff at MUG, and members of the ACE²-EU Alliance partner universities.

Participants can choose the modules that best match their interests and development needs:

• Effective Communication – strengthen verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening and your ability to overcome communication barriers.
• Teamwork – build trust, understand team roles and collaborate effectively in multicultural teams.
• Leadership – explore leadership styles, team motivation and decision-making in international environments.
• Time Management – learn practical approaches to planning, setting priorities and managing competing responsibilities.
• Negotiation & Conflict Resolution – develop negotiation strategies, analyse conflict situations and explore basic mediation techniques.

The programme consists of five independent, two-day thematic modules, with selected modules offered in multiple editions throughout 2026 and 2027. Participants can register for individual modules according to their needs and interests.

All workshops are delivered online and in English by professional trainer Dr Paweł Ziemiański, Assistant Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology, trainer and HR consultant with over ten years of experience in professional development.

• Time Management: 28–29 November 2026. Registration deadline: 17 November 2026, or until all places are filled.
• Leadership: 16–17 January 2027. Registration deadline: 18 December 2026, or until all places are filled.
• Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: 27–28 February 2027. Registration deadline: 14 February 2027, or until all places are filled.

A maximum of 30 participants can take part in each module.
