Santarém Polytechnic University is pleased to announce the commencement of the ACE²-EU “Palliative Care” Flavour School, which runs from 23 to 27 February. This initiative brings together an international cohort of students, faculty, and healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing the field of palliative care.
The programme provides a dedicated space for academic training and reflection on person-centred approaches, quality of life, and clinical and human support for patients and their families. Furthermore, it promotes the exchange of international expertise and the development of innovative practices.
Lígia Monterroso, Professor at the School of Health of Santarém Polytechnic University and member of the ACE²-EU organising team, stated:
“This Palliative Care course adopts a humanised approach that places the individual at the centre of care, promoting quality of life through respect and compassion. It aims to empower students to operate within interdisciplinary frameworks, alleviating suffering and supporting both patients and families throughout every stage of care.”
