ACE²-EU Staff Advisory Board (STAB) Meeting – Empowering Staff Engagement and Professional Growth Across the Alliance

The ACE²-EU Staff Advisory Board (STAB) held its meeting today from 15:30 to 17:00, gathering staff members, from each Alliance institution, who actively contribute to the implementation and development of ACE²-EU activities.

The STAB plays a vital role in ensuring that the staff perspective informs the alliance’s governance, strategy, and operations. It serves as a platform to strengthen staff engagement, address professional development needs, and promote exchange and mobility opportunities across all partner institutions.

Welcome & Introductions (15:30 – 16:00)

The meeting opened with the nomination process for the STAB Chair, followed by introductions from all participants. Members revisited the ACE²- EU Mission and Vision implementation, reaffirming their commitment to advancing collaboration, innovation, and excellence in higher education. Participants also reviewed and contributed feedback to the draft Terms of Reference, providing valuable input on governance, responsibilities, and operational procedures shaping the board’s activities.

Staff Participation and Engagement (16:00 – 16:45)

The session highlighted opportunities for staff involvement across alliance initiatives, including professional development, training, and collaborative projects. Participants shared initial feedback and discussed strategies to enhance staff engagement and improve exchange mechanisms. The group also explored survey tools and participatory methods to strengthen communication and cooperation between institutions.

Strategic Recommendations & Closure (16:45 – 17:00)

The meeting concluded with a summary of recommendations to be presented to the RPSG and Governing Authority. These focus on enhancing staff mobility, expanding training programs, and embedding continuous professional growth within the ACE²-EU framework.

An official photo session followed, capturing the members of the newly established Staff Advisory Board as they mark the start of an important collaborative chapter within the alliance.
