The ACE²-EU Student Advisory Board (SAB) held its session today from 15:30 to 17:00, bringing together student representatives, from each Alliance member institution, to discuss their role in shaping the alliance’s development, governance, and learning environment.
The SAB serves as a vital platform ensuring that the student perspective is integrated into the strategic and operational processes of the alliance. Its members provide feedback, insights, and recommendations on mobility, engagement, and learning opportunities across the ACE²-EU network.
Welcome & Introductions (15:30 – 16:00)
The session opened with the nomination process for the SAB Chair, followed by personal introductions from all student members. The discussion revisited the ACE² – EU Mission and Vision implementation, emphasizing the importance of student involvement in achieving the alliance’s long-term objectives. Members also reviewed and provided input on the draft Terms of Reference, contributing suggestions on governance, responsibilities, and operational procedures for the SAB.
Student Participation and Engagement (16:00 – 16:45)
Students received an overview of mobility and participation opportunities within ACE² – EU and discussed the findings of the Student Mobility Feedback Analysis from Work Package 6. Key points included strategies to enhance engagement, promote inclusiveness, and expand cross-border collaboration. The group also reflected on effective methods for collecting and analyzing student input, ensuring that student voices continue to inform alliance policy and decision-making.
Strategic Recommendations & Closure (16:45 – 17:00)
The meeting concluded with a summary of student – driven recommendations to be forwarded to the RPSG and Governing Authority. These proposals will help reinforce the role of students as active contributors to ACE²-EU’s mission of excellence, innovation, and European cooperation in higher education.
