What is an ACEploration?
- The APP Factory collaborates with ACE2-EU operational units and work packages to develop joint learning opportunities and pedagogical approaches.
- 9 discovery missions, known as ACEplorations, will be conducted-one per alliance member.
- Focus: Identifying unique collaborative opportunities in education, research, innovation, and service to society.
- These missions provide key personnel with intense information-sharing events to explore institutional strengths and collaboration potential.
- Each ACEploration is hosted by an alliance member, showcasing strengths and fostering new joint activities.
1st ACEploration mission : Constantin Brâncuși University in Romania
Theme : Quality of Life and Improving our Communities
Within this theme, we will focus on two priority areas:
- Health & Well-Being
- Inclusive Living
We will explore several topical areas for potential program development, including:
- Quality of Life: Active aging, therapies for special needs, personal health, and fitness.
- Healthy Foods and Sustainable Agriculture: Healthy diets, sustainable agriculture, natural products, and agrotourism.
- Inclusive Living: Social inclusion, gender equality, inclusive communities, EU values, and integration.
Elements of an ACEploration
Main elements of mission:
- Getting to know each other and initial pitch of proposals for joint courses in the thematic area
- Overview of UCB … its strengths and opportunities … including its joint course proposals
- Speed dating/match making session to identify course development teams
- Working session on development of joint course proposals to include discussion on pedagogical approach for learning opportunities
- Presentation of final joint course proposals
- Obtain feedback on mission format
