“A Hub of Innovation, Learning, and Collaboration in Practice”
The ARIES Incubator recently hosted an energetic three-day Network Event, bringing together 35 students for an immersive experience of learning, collaboration, and inspiration. This event was all about sparking ideas, building skills, and connecting the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
A Whirlwind of Activities: Learning by Doing
The event was packed with engaging sessions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities, all designed to empower students with the tools and connections they need to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship.
Inspiring Speaker Sessions
Students heard from leading voices in entrepreneurship, including:
- Young Entrepreneurs in Science (Falling Walls Lab): Sharing their stories of turning bold ideas into real-world ventures.
- Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (Germany): Offering insights into global opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
- EIC Accelerator Representatives (Germany): Providing practical advice on scaling startups and securing support.
These sessions gave students a real-world perspective on the journey of entrepreneurship, while also connecting them with mentors and experts who could guide their path.
Intrapreneurship Workshop: Thinking Like an Innovator
A standout moment was the Intrapreneurship Workshop, where students learned how to drive innovation from within organsations. This session was all about practical skills—teaching students how to think creatively, take initiative, and turn ideas into action.
Dialogue Circle Method: Learning Through Collaboration
One of the most interactive and meaningful parts of the event was the Research & Entrepreneurship in Best Practice session. Here, students used the Dialogue Circle Method—a structured way to have deep, productive discussions—to explore best practices in research and entrepreneurship.
What made this session special was that the students had already been trained in this method through the Changemaker Ambassador Programme. This meant they could jump right in, leading to rich conversations and real collaboration with the WP4 Team and their peers.
Networking: Building Connections That Matter
Networking was a core part of the event, with sessions each day to connect students with local entrepreneurs, THI’s entrepreneurial community, and each other. These moments gave students the chance to build relationships, share ideas, and explore new opportunities.
A highlight was the THIdea Competition Ceremony, where students saw innovative ideas being pitched and celebrated, fueling their own entrepreneurial ambitions.
Student Voices: Shaping the Future Together
The event wrapped up with open discussions, where students shared their thoughts on:
- What works in entrepreneurship education—and what could be better.
- The most impactful learning experiences for aspiring entrepreneurs.
- How to make networking more meaningful for students like them.
These conversations gave valuable insights that will help shape the future of entrepreneurship opportunities within the ARIES Incubator and the ACE²-EU Alliance.
