Session starts in
The Virtual Coffee will provide participants with a practical pre-arrival information package covering the most important aspects of their mobility experience in Romania.
The organising team will introduce participants to Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu and provide essential information about travelling to Romania and reaching Târgu Jiu. Participants will receive guidance on arrival arrangements, accommodation, local transportation, university facilities, course locations and the main academic, cultural and social activities planned during the week.
The session will also explain how the different learning activities are organised, what participants can expect from their programmes and what they should prepare before departure. Practical recommendations regarding travel documents, clothing, local services, meals, communication and everyday life in Romania will help participants arrive well prepared for their mobility.
Most importantly, the Virtual Coffee will provide an opportunity to meet fellow ACExperience and other ACE²-EU participants before travelling. Students and staff from different partner institutions will be able to connect with their course colleagues, meet members of the local organising team and ask practical questions in an informal and friendly setting.
The mobility week in Târgu Jiu will be much more than participation in an individual course.
Alongside the four learning programmes, participants will arrive during one of the most dynamic weeks of the ACE²-EU academic year, coinciding with the ACE²-EU Annual Congress and the Kaleidoscope Culture Festival 2026 — “100 Voices – One Future.”
This unique combination of academic, cultural and Alliance-wide activities will create opportunities for participants to meet students, academics, university staff and stakeholders from across ACE²-EU, exchange perspectives, build international connections and experience the diversity of the Alliance community.
The Kaleidoscope Culture Festival, taking place from 28 to 30 October, will add a strong intercultural dimension to the mobility experience, creating a shared space for cultural exchange, creativity and dialogue across the Alliance.
From exploring fake news and its social impact, circular economy and sustainability, and agritourism and local traditions, to discussing Europe’s response to global challenges, participants will approach contemporary societal issues from different disciplinary and cultural perspectives.
At the same time, they will share one common experience: being part of an international ACE²-EU community gathered in Târgu Jiu.
The Virtual Coffee is therefore more than a practical information session. It is the first meeting point of your mobility journey — a space to connect, prepare, ask questions and discover the academic, cultural and social experiences that await you in Romania.
