Târgu Jiu, Romania, 6 July 2026 – Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu is hosting the Knowledge Creation Team Workshop (KCTW #4), an international event organised within the ACE²-EU – Applied, Connected, Entrepreneurial and Engaged European University Alliance. Dedicated to Cybersecurity and Digital Sovereignty, the workshop brings together researchers and academic experts from the Alliance’s partner universities to strengthen research collaboration and generate new ideas for future European projects.
Over the three days, participants will engage in an intensive programme designed to transform research ideas into collaborative initiatives. The agenda combines expert presentations, institutional contributions, project pitching sessions, proposal design workshops, and collaborative brainstorming, creating an environment where interdisciplinary teams can identify common research interests and build competitive project concepts.
A highlight of the programme is the participation of representatives from the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC-RO), who will share expertise on current cybersecurity priorities and European funding opportunities. Researchers from the nine partner universities will present their research interests, exchange knowledge, and work together to shape innovative project proposals addressing the rapidly evolving challenges of cybersecurity and digital sovereignty.
More than a scientific workshop, the Knowledge Creation Team Workshop serves as an incubator for future international research partnerships. Through team-building activities, proposal development sessions, and peer feedback, participants are encouraged to establish long-term collaborations that will continue beyond the event and contribute to the objectives of the European Research Area.
