The First ACE²-EU Social Impactors Knowledge Creation Team Workshop on Gender Equity Takes Place at the Latvian Academy of Culture

On 27 April, the pilot Social Impactors Knowledge Creation Team Workshop on Gender Equity was launched at the Latvian Academy of Culture (LAC). Organised within the framework of the European university alliance ACE²-EU, the programme brings together students, academic staff, and external cooperation partners from nine alliance universities to jointly analyse challenges, share experiences, and outline directions for future collaboration.

The programme is rooted within one of the operational directions of the SPACE Centre – the Social Impactors (SI), which brings together academic staff, experts, and industry professionals to create and further develop the alliance knowledge in addressing socio-economic challenges.

The first day of the programme was dedicated to fostering an inclusive and safe working environment by engaging participants in the organisation of a collaborative working process aimed at strengthening cooperation in an intercultural and interdisciplinary setting. Several workshop sessions were organised in which participants shared knowledge and professional experience regarding regional, national, and interinstitutional challenges related to gender equity. Participants also discussed issues related to gender identity, self-expression, gender power dynamics, pay inequality, and employment.

On the second day of the programme, participants continue their work in international teams on the development of joint solutions and initiatives in order to create practice-based project and activity plans to be further developed through future collaborative efforts.
