On 21 October 2025, the members of Work Package 7 (WP7) held a face-to-face meeting to discuss the strategic direction for the establishment of the new ACE²-EU entity.
The session was moderated by Daniel Großmann, who guided discussions focused on shaping the vision, operational framework, and governance model of the future structure. The meeting represented a key milestone in advancing the Alliance’s objective of creating a sustainable and integrated European University.
Participants reflected on the importance of long-term structural and strategic cooperation among the Alliance members, a collaboration grounded in common values and agreed principles.
For our European University to be truly sustainable and aligned with the European Commission’s vision for European University Alliances, the new entity will:
- have a legal status and the ability to grant its own awards;
- ensure shared and inclusive governance and management arrangements;
- operate through common policies, procedures, operational units, and systems;
- remain financially viable, supported by a robust sustainability plan.
By achieving these objectives, ACE²-EU will establish a European inter-university campus that facilitates seamless mobility opportunities, empowering students to engage in joint, innovative, and flexible curricula. This will be done in close partnership with external stakeholders, addressing future societal challenges and contributing to sustainable transformation across Europe.
