• Agenda: This roundtable brings together representatives from different universities and associations across Europe discussing the successes and challenges of establishing professional doctorates at universities of applied sciences in Europe, as well as new opportunities arising in European University Alliances.

1. Christian Facchi is the Head of the Doctoral School at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, former member of the German Council for Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat); member of several commissions for granting the institutional right for Doctoral degrees in Germany.
2. Markus Preissinger is the Head of the Research and memeber of the management board of Vorarlberg University of Applied Science, manager of the research expert network within RUN-EU.
3. Martin Waiguny is the Executive Director of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, member of Fullbright Board Austria since 2023, Board member of Austrian Conference of Universities of Applied Sciences, member of expert panel for Higher Education Strategy 2024.
4. Frank van der Zwan-Scholtz is the Strategic advisor at the Dutch Association of Universities of Applied Sciences (Vereniging Hogescholen).
