ACE²-EU Virtual Town Hall Meeting | Our Values in Action

Participation is open to the wider ACE²-EU community. Students, teachers, researchers, administrative staff, coordinators, and external stakeholders are warmly invited to take part in the discussion.

Registration is required. Following registration, participants will receive the necessary information for joining the online meeting.

This edition will provide a space for reflection, dialogue, and active participation around the values that underpin the identity and mission of the ACE²-EU Alliance. The meeting will also highlight the work carried out, with particular attention to the ACE²-EU Values Brochure and the ACE²-EU Values Toolbox, two resources designed to articulate our common principles and support their practical implementation across the Alliance.

The session will be coordinated and moderated by Ana Nikodinovska Krstevska, who will guide participants through a discussion on the role of shared values in strengthening cooperation, participation, and a common sense of belonging within the ACE²-EU community.

The ACE²-EU Virtual Town Hall Meetings are conceived as regular online forums that foster dialogue, transparency, participation, and engagement across the Alliance.

They provide an open and inclusive setting in which students, teachers, researchers, administrative staff, institutional coordinators, and external stakeholders from across the ACE²-EU partner institutions can meet beyond institutional and disciplinary boundaries.

The Town Hall Meetings aim to provide updates on Alliance activities and developments while, more importantly, creating opportunities for members of the community to exchange perspectives, raise questions, provide feedback, discuss common challenges, and contribute to the ongoing development of ACE²-EU.

Through this participatory approach, the Virtual Town Hall Meetings support a culture of dialogue and shared responsibility, ensuring that the development of the Alliance is informed by the voices and experiences of the communities it brings together.

The September edition will focus specifically on the shared values of ACE²-EU and on the ways in which these values can move beyond statements of principle to become part of our everyday academic and institutional practices.

Values are fundamental to the identity of a European University Alliance. They influence how we collaborate, how we engage with our communities, how we approach education and research, and how we build an inclusive, responsible, and connected European academic environment.

The meeting will therefore invite participants not only to explore what our shared values are, but also to consider a broader question: How can we collectively transform shared values into shared practices and meaningful action?

The discussion will encourage participants to reflect on how the principles promoted by ACE²-EU can inform cooperation across institutions, disciplines, professional roles, and national contexts, while contributing to a stronger common identity across the Alliance.

The ACE²-EU Virtual Town Hall Meeting is designed as a participatory forum rather than a one-way presentation. Participants will be encouraged to share their perspectives, exchange experiences, ask questions, and contribute actively to the discussion.

The diversity of voices represented across our universities is essential to understanding how our shared values can be meaningfully embedded in the everyday life of the Alliance.
