The Santarém Polytechnic University (IPSantarém) marked today the third anniversary of the ACE²-EU European University with ACE DAY, an event that brought together students, staff and representatives from partner universities for a day of reflection, exchange and celebration of the alliance’s journey.
The morning began with the workshop “Multiculturalism in Intercultural Dialogue”, which promoted the exchange of experiences and discussion on diversity in the academic context. This was followed by the inauguration of the “ACE²-EU World: Defining Experiences” exhibition by the President of IPSantarém, João Moutão, showcasing key moments and learning experiences from the Alliance’s three years.
In the afternoon, the Storytelling session gave the floor to students, academics and partners who shared testimonies about the impact of the alliance on mobility, academic development and institutional cooperation.
Subsequently, Rectors and Presidents of the partner universities delivered remarks, reaffirming their joint commitment to strengthening ACE²-EU and promoting solid and continuous international cooperation.
The celebration concluded with everyone singing “Happy Birthday ACE²-EU”, marking both the achievements so far and the ambition for the years ahead.
Following this moment, a joint meeting of the Steering Group and the Management Board took place, focused on strategic alignment and planning the next steps for the alliance.
ACE DAY 2025 reinforced ACE²-EU’s role as an alliance rooted in collaboration, institutional development and the creation of opportunities for its academic communities.
