ACE²-EU Pedagogy Team Face-to-Face Meeting in Madrid from 23 – 24 September

 

The ACE2-EU Pedagogy Team gathered in Madrid, Spain, on 23–24 September for a two-day Face-to-Face Meeting, hosted by Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV).

The meeting brought together partners, educators, and students to reflect on the shared purpose of the Pedagogy School and to explore how active learning methodologies, such as Challenge-Based Learning, Experiential Learning, and other innovative approaches, can be further integrated into the Alliance.

Highlights from the programme:

  • Day 1 (23 September):
    • Setting a shared vision for the Pedagogy School and aligning institutional contributions.
    • Workshop on applying active pedagogy across different learning opportunities.
    • Experiential sessions on creativity, diversity, and self-discovery.
    • Discussions on building European academic networks and joint project proposals.
  • Day 2 (24 September):
    • Identifying training needs for teachers and connecting them with ACE tools.
    • The “ACE Rookies” initiative: supporting personal journeys from multiculturality to interculturality.
    • Experiential active learning session with UFV students.
    • Exploring opportunities for ACE pedagogy conferences and visiting the UFV Design & Creation Lab.

The Madrid meeting was an important step in strengthening collaboration, sharing innovative practices, and expanding ACE’s vision of active, intercultural, and future-oriented education.
