Applied, Connected, Entrepreneurial and Engaged – European University

The First Kaleidoscope Festival

The ACE²-EU Kaleidoscope Culture Festival is a vibrant celebration of European diversity, creativity and collaboration. The inaugural festival took place from 22–24 October 2025 at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt in Germany, uniting students, academics, and partners from nine universities within the ACE²-EU European University Alliance.

With the overarching theme of ‘The Voices of Europe Today’, the festival featured 55 events, including workshops, performances, exhibitions, and creative showcases, which were co-created by over 100 students and lecturers from across Europe.

The festival featured masterclasses, creative exchanges, and community-building sessions that reflected the richness and diversity of European culture, from sensory workshops to traditional and contemporary performances.

The Kaleidoscope Culture Festival is held annually alongside the ACE²-EU Annual Congress and is hosted each year by a different partner university under the supervision of the Societal Partnerships and Cultural Engagement Centre (SPACE Centre), which is led by the Latvian Academy of Culture. Future editions will continue this dynamic tradition in Romania in 2026, Latvia in 2027, and Portugal in 2028, celebrating the cultural identities and creative voices shaping the Alliance.

The festival is one of the ACE²-EU Culture Hub’s main initiatives, combining the cultural expertise and creative energy of the Alliance’s partner universities to promote integration, inclusion, and mutual understanding across Europe. The Culture Hub provides a space for students, staff, and external partners to explore the diversity of European cultures and co-create innovative approaches to multicultural collaboration.
